GucciMarmont Ring

Q: Is this Gucci Marmont Ring authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What is it made from? Is it solid sterling silver and are the crystals genuine?
A: This piece is described with an aged silver finish, GG Marmont logo and multi‑shaped clear crystals. Gucci offers Marmont rings in both solid 925 sterling silver and fashion‑jewellery executions; sterling styles are typically made in Italy and marked accordingly. We’re happy to confirm the exact hallmarks and composition on this specific ring—just ask.

Q: What do the stamped sizes mean? What is a Gucci/Italian size 24 in UK/US sizing?
A: Gucci rings are stamped in Italian sizes. As a guide, an Italian 24 is roughly a UK V and about a US 10¾, with an inner diameter close to 20.4 mm. Band shape and width can affect fit; if you’d like, we’ll measure the inner diameter of this ring for you.

Q: Can this ring be resized?
A: Resizing is generally not recommended for rings with a textured band and set crystals, as altering the shank can distort patterns or compromise stone settings. Many jewellers limit or decline resizing such designs; non‑permanent options like sizing beads or guards may help.

Q: What hallmarks should I expect on a Gucci silver ring?
A: Sterling silver Gucci rings commonly bear the GUCCI signature, “Made in Italy,” a fineness mark such as “925,” and the Italian size. Placement varies by model and season—our close‑ups show any stamps present on this piece.

Q: Is it suitable for sensitive skin? Is sterling silver nickel‑free?
A: Standard 925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver alloyed mainly with copper and is generally nickel‑free, which many people find comfortable. Sensitivities vary, so discontinue wear if irritation occurs and contact us for guidance.

Q: How should I care for the aged silver finish and crystals?
A: Keep it dry and away from perfume, lotions, hairspray, hand sanitiser and household cleaners. After wear, wipe gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Avoid soaking and ultrasonic cleaners—vibration and moisture can weaken adhesives or disturb crystal settings. Store separately in a pouch/box to preserve the aged finish.

Q: Will sterling silver tarnish or will the aged finish change over time?
A: Sterling naturally develops tarnish with air and moisture exposure; the aged/antique finish is an intentional patina that can lighten with aggressive polishing. Clean gently to preserve the patina and overall look; for heavier tarnish, use a silver‑polishing cloth on metal areas only and avoid chemical dips.

Q: Is it appropriate for everyday wear? Can I wash hands with it on?
A: Yes—with normal, careful use. As with all crystal‑set rings, avoid hard knocks, gym activities and water exposure (showers, swimming). Remove before applying hand sanitiser or creams; put the ring back on once hands are completely dry to minimise tarnish and protect settings.

Q: What are the measurements and how noticeable is it on the hand?
A: Listed dimensions are approximately 2.1 cm (height) x 3.2 cm (width) x 2.5 cm (depth). It has a refined yet statement presence; if you’d like a gram weight or on‑hand scale photo, let us know and we’ll provide it.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return it?
A: This ring is in Very Good Condition, so light signs of careful wear may be present unless noted otherwise. This listing includes no accessories unless specifically shown or stated. Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please see our Returns page for eligibility, timeframes and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
