CartierJuste un Clou Bracelet Small Model

Q: Is this Cartier Juste un Clou bracelet authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What is it made from? Is it solid gold or plated?
A: This small model Juste un Clou is crafted in solid 18‑carat rose gold (not plated). The design is a slender, rigid bangle with Cartier’s iconic nail motif.

Q: What are the size and measurements? Will it fit my wrist?
A: This piece is size 19 with a wearable perimeter of about 19 cm. The small model width is approximately 2.5 mm. For best fit, measure your wrist snugly; choose your exact size for a close fit or add around 1 cm if you prefer a little movement. If you’d like inner diameter, nail‑head dimensions or gram weight, just ask and we’ll measure it for you.

Q: How does it open and close? Is it secure for daily wear?
A: It features a discreet integrated hinge and clasp within the nail design. To wear, gently release the mechanism, open along the hinge, position on the wrist and close until it clicks. When correctly fastened it is secure for everyday wear—avoid forceful bending or impacts and check the clasp is fully engaged before use.

Q: Can it be resized or adjusted?
A: Rigid bangles like the Juste un Clou are not designed to be resized. We recommend selecting the correct size at purchase. If you’re between sizes, we’re happy to advise on fit.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect?
A: Authentic Cartier bracelets typically bear the Cartier signature, “Au750” for 18k gold, a size mark (e.g., 19), a unique serial number and country of origin. This piece is listed as made in France. Our close‑up photos show any stamps present.

Q: Can I wear it in the shower, pool or spa?
A: We recommend removing it before showering, swimming or spa visits. Chemicals, chlorinated or salt water and prolonged moisture can dull the finish and accelerate wear to the clasp mechanism.

Q: How should I care for and clean the rose‑gold finish?
A: After wear, wipe gently with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. For occasional deeper cleans, use lukewarm water with a drop of mild soap, rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive cloths, chemical dips and ultrasonic cleaners. Store separately to minimise scratches. Cartier boutiques can provide professional cleaning and light polishing; note that polishing removes a minute layer of metal, so it should be done sparingly.

Q: Will it scratch, especially if I stack it with other bracelets?
A: 18k gold will develop fine surface marks with normal wear. Stacking rigid bangles (for example with a LOVE bracelet) can increase friction and micro‑scratches. Many clients alternate wrists, rotate pieces or add a soft spacer to reduce contact.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return it?
A: This bracelet is in Very Good Condition with light signs of careful wear possible unless noted otherwise. It is delivered with a box; only accessories specifically shown or listed are included. Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
