ChanelLambskin CC Shoulder Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Chanel shoulder bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 30 x 25 x 9 cm, it is suited to everyday essentials such as a phone, long wallet, keys, sunglasses and a small cosmetics pouch. It is roomy for daily use, but not intended for a laptop or full-size A4 documents.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody?
A: This model is designed as a shoulder bag with dual flat straps. The listed strap measurement is 60 cm, so it should sit comfortably on the shoulder, but it is not generally considered a true crossbody style.

Q: Is lambskin a delicate leather?
A: Yes. Chanel lambskin is prized for its softness and supple feel, but it is more prone to superficial scratches, pressure marks and rubbing than grained leathers. That is part of the charm of vintage lambskin, but it does benefit from gentle handling.

Q: How should I care for and store this bag?
A: Wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth and avoid harsh leather products that could alter the finish. Store it upright, lightly stuffed, away from direct sunlight and humidity, and keep the straps wrapped or positioned so they do not mark the leather. If the bag gets wet, blot it carefully with an absorbent, non-pilling cloth.

Q: What does the serial number 3889071 indicate?
A: This serial number falls within Chanel's 3-series, which is generally associated with production in the mid-1990s, approximately 1994 to 1996. As with all vintage Chanel pieces, the serial number is just one part of the overall authentication picture.

Q: What product information is included with this bag?
A: The product information lists the serial number only. An authenticity card, box or dust bag is not listed, so these should not be assumed to be included unless confirmed separately.

Q: How secure and practical is the interior?
A: This bag has a top zip closure for added security, plus a black fabric lining with an internal zipped pocket for smaller essentials such as cards, keys or lipstick.

Q: What condition is this vintage bag in?
A: It is described as being in very good overall condition. The exterior shows scuffing on the corners and marks on the base, the interior has light traces of use, and the gold-tone hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: Where was this Chanel bag made?
A: The country of origin label states Italy.
