ChanelSun Charm Vertical Quilted Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Chanel Sun Charm Vertical Quilted Bag?
A: With measurements of approximately 35 x 22 x 11 cm, it is well suited to daily essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetic pouch and other slim necessities. It is better suited to everyday items than to a laptop bag role, and any tablet or small notebook fit will depend on the exact dimensions and the zip opening.

Q: Is this bag designed for shoulder or crossbody wear?
A: This model is best worn on the shoulder. It has dual woven leather and chain shoulder straps, and the listed strap measurement of 45 cm suggests a comfortable shoulder carry rather than a true crossbody fit for most people.

Q: How is the bag organised inside?
A: The design includes a front slip pocket for quick-access items and one internal zip pocket inside the main compartment. This gives you simple organisation for smaller essentials without adding bulk.

Q: What does the serial number tell me about the bag?
A: The serial begins with 3, which places production in the 1994-1996 period. That matches the bag’s vintage character and helps date it to Chanel’s mid-1990s serial sticker era.

Q: What makes the Sun Charm style special?
A: One of the standout details is the zip closure finished with a sun charm, paired with Chanel’s elegant vertical quilting and gold-tone hardware. It gives the bag a distinctive 1990s look that feels a little rarer and more playful than Chanel’s more familiar flap styles.

Q: What condition is this item in?
A: The overall condition is listed as Very Good. There is light wear on the corners, a few marks on the leather, light traces of use inside, and light scratches to the shiny hardware. For a vintage Chanel bag from the mid-1990s, these are normal signs of gentle wear.

Q: What is included with the bag?
A: The product information lists a dust bag. No box or authenticity card is noted in the product information for this specific item.

Q: How should I care for and store a vintage Chanel leather bag like this?
A: Avoid overfilling it, keep it away from prolonged sunlight and moisture, and wipe it gently with a soft cloth. When not in use, store it upright in its dust bag and place tissue around the chains to help protect the leather and preserve the shape.

Q: Is this a good everyday Chanel bag?
A: Yes, if you want a vintage shoulder bag with enough room for everyday essentials. Community discussions around Chanel day bags often focus on capacity and comfort, and this size offers a practical balance between roominess and elegance. Because it is vintage, it is best suited to careful regular use rather than heavy-duty carrying.
