FendiZucca Baguette Wool Shoulder Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Fendi Zucca Baguette?
A: With approximate dimensions of 25 × 14 × 3 cm, it comfortably carries daily essentials such as a smartphone, small wallet or card holder, keys, and a few small cosmetics. A full-size continental wallet can fit but will take most of the space due to the slim 3 cm depth—packing flatter items helps maintain the bag’s shape.

Q: How is the strap worn—can it be adjusted or used cross-body?
A: This piece features a single short, adjustable shoulder strap with an approximate 18 cm drop. It is designed to sit neatly under the arm for classic Baguette styling. The included strap is not intended for cross‑body wear and the bag is not supplied with a longer strap.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: The flap fastens with a concealed magnetic closure behind the FF buckle, providing secure, quick access. Avoid overfilling the bag so the magnet aligns properly. There is also an internal zipped pocket for valuables.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: The Accessories section for this listing states “no accessories”. The bag is sold as shown, without a dust bag, box, or authenticity card unless otherwise noted on this page.

Q: Is this bag authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is vetted by our in‑house experts via multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, hardware, stamps, and construction. We guarantee the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to share additional details on request.

Q: How should I care for the wool Zucca exterior?
A: Keep the bag dry and avoid heavy rain. After use, allow it to air; use a lint roller or a very soft clothes brush to remove surface lint. For light marks, gently blot with a barely damp, clean cloth—do not rub. Avoid rough surfaces that can cause pilling; if minor pilling occurs, use a fabric comb or shaver with great care. Store lightly stuffed in a breathable dust bag, away from direct sunlight; consider cedar or lavender sachets as a natural moth deterrent. For deep cleaning, consult a specialist familiar with wool textiles.

Q: Is colour transfer or fading a risk?
A: As with most textile exteriors, dye transfer from dark denim and richly dyed garments can occur with friction. Minimise prolonged contact with such materials and rotate carry side. Store the bag away from direct sunlight to help preserve colour over time.

Q: What is special about the Fendi Baguette design?
A: Introduced in 1997 by Silvia Venturini Fendi, the Baguette became an icon for its compact, east‑west silhouette that tucks under the arm. Vintage variations like this wool Zucca version showcase the model’s collectable nature and Italian craftsmanship.

Q: How does this vintage piece compare with current Baguette sizes?
A: This example aligns with earlier classic Baguette proportions—slimmer and more compact than some modern iterations—so capacity is intentionally streamlined to the essentials. If you are comparing across sizes, check the measurements on this page and consider how you pack.
