GucciSmall Sukey Diamante Shoulder Bag

Q: What are the dimensions and how can I carry it?
A: This Small Sukey measures approximately 30 × 20 × 10 cm with a handle drop of about 13 cm and an adjustable shoulder strap with roughly a 45 cm drop. It can be carried by hand or in the crook of the arm, and worn on the shoulder; the strap allows a close, high‑sitting crossbody fit on many frames.

Q: What typically fits inside this Small Sukey?
A: Daily essentials such as a smartphone, compact wallet, keys, sunglasses in a slim case, a small cosmetics pouch and a compact umbrella fit comfortably. A Kindle or iPad mini‑sized tablet may fit depending on case thickness and how you organise the interior. For best results, compare your items to the measurements above.

Q: Is the Gucci Sukey still in production?
A: The Sukey line was most popular in the late 2000s and early 2010s and is no longer part of Gucci’s current collection. It’s now sought after on the pre‑owned market, especially in Diamante and Guccissima variations.

Q: What is Gucci’s Diamante canvas?
A: Diamante is an archival diamond‑pattern jacquard first seen in the 1930s and revived on modern accessories in the 2000s. It has a subtly textured, woven look that differs from the brand’s coated GG Supreme canvas, offering a softer hand while remaining hard‑wearing when properly cared for.

Q: How should I care for the Diamante canvas and leather trim?
A: Spot clean the canvas gently with a soft cloth slightly dampened with mild soap and water, then blot dry. Avoid soaking, harsh chemicals and bleach. Keep leather trim away from moisture and condition sparingly with a leather‑appropriate product. Polish gold‑tone hardware with a clean, dry cloth only. Store the bag lightly stuffed in its dust bag, away from heat, humidity and direct sunlight.

Q: Will the rolled top handles fit over the shoulder?
A: With an approximate 13 cm drop, the rolled handles are best for hand carry or the crook of the arm. Use the detachable strap for comfortable shoulder or hands‑free wear.

Q: Does this item include a shoulder strap and dust bag?
A: Yes. This piece comes with a detachable, adjustable shoulder strap and a dust bag. All inclusions are listed under Accessories on this page; if it isn’t listed, it isn’t included.

Q: How can I verify authenticity on a Sukey?
A: Authentic Sukey bags feature high‑quality materials and stitching, crisp interior heat stamps, and a leather logo patch with a serial/style number on the reverse. A Retro Tale’s in‑house experts authenticate every item through multi‑point checks. We’re happy to provide additional photos or details on request.

Q: Is the gold‑tone hardware real gold?
A: No. The hardware is gold‑tone plated metal, not solid gold. Avoid abrasive cleaners or polishes to preserve the finish.
