GucciStirrup Bag

Q: What typically fits inside this Gucci Stirrup Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 43 x 28 x 14 cm, this is a roomy everyday bag. It generally fits essentials such as a phone, wallet, keys and sunglasses, with space left for a cosmetics pouch, notebook and other daily items. For bulkier pieces, please compare them with the listed measurements.

Q: Can it be carried on the shoulder?
A: Yes. The approximate 24 cm drop and dual top handles usually allow comfortable shoulder carry for most people, while still working as a hand-carried style depending on outerwear and personal preference.

Q: What are the key design details of this bag?
A: This piece is crafted in brown leather with gold-tone hardware, dual top handles, a black lining and a fold-over strap with a stirrup closure. The equestrian-inspired hardware is one of the defining signatures of the Stirrup line.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: It is listed in very good vintage condition. There is minor wear on the edges, light traces of use inside, a vintage smell to the interior, and light scratches to the shiny hardware. Please review the images and condition notes for the fullest impression.

Q: Does this item come with any extra pieces?
A: No. This item is sold with no extra pieces included. Everything that comes with the bag is shown in the product information, so if something is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: How should I care for vintage Gucci leather?
A: Wipe the leather gently with a soft, dry cloth after use and keep it away from direct heat, moisture, rain and rough surfaces. For storage, keep the bag lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape and place it in a breathable dust bag or cotton cover, with nothing heavy stored on top.

Q: Is the stirrup closure practical for everyday use?
A: Yes. The fold-over strap helps keep contents secure while giving the bag its signature look. As with most vintage structured bags, opening and closing it gently will help preserve the leather and hardware over time.

Q: Will the vintage smell disappear?
A: Vintage bags can sometimes retain a storage smell. This often improves gradually with time, gentle airing in a dry room and careful storage, but it may not disappear completely. Avoid spraying perfume or using harsh liquids directly on the leather or lining.

Q: How is authenticity checked?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is inspected by specialists before sale. Authentication is based on a combination of details such as materials, construction, stitching, hardware and brand markings, so you can shop with confidence.
