Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Alma PM Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 30 x 24 x 16 cm, the Alma PM is a practical everyday size. It will usually fit essentials such as a long wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses case, small cosmetics pouch and other daily items, with room to spare. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for the exact size of this piece.

Q: Can this Alma PM be carried on the shoulder?
A: Yes. This specific bag includes a detachable shoulder strap, so it can be carried by hand or worn on the shoulder. The handle drop is approximately 9 cm and the strap drop is approximately 45 cm.

Q: Is the Alma PM a good everyday size?
A: Yes, the PM is widely considered one of the most versatile Alma sizes. It offers more space than the smaller BB while still keeping the elegant, structured silhouette that makes the Alma so iconic.

Q: Does the Alma PM fit a long wallet?
A: Yes, in most cases it does. The Alma PM is generally roomy enough for a long wallet as well as other daily essentials, though the structured shape means bulkier items are best packed thoughtfully.

Q: What does the date code VI0997 mean?
A: The date code indicates production details. For Louis Vuitton pieces from this era, VI0997 corresponds to France and September 1997. As with all vintage Louis Vuitton items, a date code supports identification but should not be relied on as the only authentication point.

Q: What condition is this bag in?
A: This item is listed in good condition. The exterior shows water stains on the leather base and wear on the handles. The interior has light signs of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: How should I care for vintage Monogram canvas and leather trim?
A: Wipe the coated canvas gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners. The natural leather trim is more sensitive and can darken, mark or stain with moisture and handling, so it is best kept away from rain, oils and prolonged direct sunlight. When not in use, store the bag lightly stuffed to help maintain its shape.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: According to the product information, this bag comes with a detachable shoulder strap. If any additional item is not listed in the product information, it should not be assumed to be included.

Q: Is the Alma PM secure and structured in use?
A: Yes. The Alma is known for its structured, dome-shaped design and zip-top closure, which makes it feel neat, polished and secure for everyday wear. Many buyers choose it for its classic shape and ability to stand out while remaining timeless.
