Louis VuittonMonogram Empreinte Montaigne BB Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Empreinte Montaigne BB Bag?
A: With approximate measurements of 25 x 20 x 10 cm, this BB size is ideal for daily essentials such as a phone, wallet, keys, sunglasses, small cosmetics, and other compact items. It is best suited to an organised everyday carry rather than bulkier items. Please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can this bag be worn crossbody or carried by hand?
A: Yes. This piece can be carried by the top handles or worn with the detachable shoulder strap. The handle drop is approximately 11 cm, and the strap drop is approximately 57 cm, giving you flexible day-to-evening carry options.

Q: Is the Montaigne BB a practical everyday bag?
A: Yes, many buyers choose the Montaigne BB because it offers a structured shape, a neat footprint, and good day-to-day versatility. It is especially well suited if you want a compact luxury bag that still holds the essentials comfortably.

Q: What is Monogram Empreinte leather like?
A: Monogram Empreinte is Louis Vuitton’s supple embossed leather, known for its soft hand feel and elegant raised Monogram pattern. It is generally appreciated for combining a refined look with good everyday durability, while developing a softer character over time with use.

Q: Does Empreinte leather stay structured over time?
A: Empreinte leather can become softer with wear, which is normal for this material. The embossed pattern may relax slightly over time, but this is part of the leather’s natural ageing and character. Storing the bag properly and avoiding overfilling can help it maintain its shape better.

Q: Is the Montaigne BB heavy?
A: The BB is generally considered the more compact and easier-to-carry size within the Montaigne line. As it is made in leather, it may feel a little more substantial than a canvas bag, but this smaller format is typically preferred by those who want structure without the extra bulk of larger sizes.

Q: How should I care for this bag?
A: To care for Monogram Empreinte leather, wipe it gently with a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth and avoid harsh cleaners, heavy rain, prolonged direct sunlight, and heat exposure. When not in use, store it in a cool, dry place and lightly stuff it to help preserve the shape. Avoid overloading the bag, as this can stress the leather and handles over time.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: This item includes a shoulder strap and a clochette with keys. Everything included is listed in the product information; if something is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What does the date code SP4116 indicate?
A: Louis Vuitton date codes in this format indicate the place and period of manufacture. SP denotes France, and 4116 corresponds to the 41st week of 2016. As with all Louis Vuitton items, a date code supports identification but is only one part of the overall authentication process.

Q: What is the condition of this specific bag?
A: This bag is listed in Very Good Condition, with light traces of use externally and internally. The hardware remains shiny with light scratches. If you would like a closer idea of the wear, we recommend reviewing all product images carefully.
