Louis VuittonMonogram Sac A Dos Bosphore Backpack

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Monogram Sac A Dos Bosphore Backpack?
A: With approximate measurements of 36 × 37 × 13 cm, this is a practical medium-sized backpack for daily use. It can generally hold everyday essentials such as a wallet, phone, keys, sunglasses, a water bottle, a notebook, and a light cardigan. It also works well for travel day essentials, depending on how you pack.

Q: Will this backpack fit a laptop?
A: A slim small laptop or tablet may fit, but we recommend comparing your device’s exact measurements with the bag dimensions listed on this page before purchasing. As this is a vintage style with a soft interior and drawstring top, fit can vary depending on the shape of your device and any protective sleeve.

Q: Is the Sac A Dos Bosphore practical for everyday use?
A: Yes. This model is known for its hands-free design, adjustable shoulder straps, and useful outer pockets, which make it well suited to commuting, shopping, and day trips. The flap-and-drawstring closure offers security, though it is slightly less quick to access than a simple zip-top design.

Q: How is the bag organised?
A: This piece features a roomy main compartment with brown canvas lining, two external front pockets, and one side zip pocket. It closes with both a drawstring and a buckle flap, helping keep belongings secure while still offering easy access to essentials stored in the outer pockets.

Q: What does the code FL1180 mean?
A: FL1180 is commonly interpreted as a Louis Vuitton date code rather than a unique serial number. It indicates production in France in 2010. As with other Louis Vuitton pieces from this period, the code helps identify when and where the bag was made, but it is only one part of a full authenticity assessment.

Q: What condition details should I expect with this specific item?
A: This backpack is listed in very good overall condition. The exterior shows a light patina to the Vachetta leather, along with some watermarks, scuffing, and small cracks on the trim. The interior shows only light traces of use, and the hardware remains shiny with light surface scratches.

Q: How should I care for Monogram canvas and Vachetta leather?
A: The coated canvas can be gently wiped with a soft damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals, leather creams, oils, perfumes, and alcohol-based products. The natural Vachetta leather trim is delicate and will naturally darken over time; if it gets wet, blot it promptly with a soft light-coloured cloth and allow it to dry naturally. Store the bag away from direct heat, humidity, and prolonged sunlight.

Q: Is the patina and light marking on the leather normal for a vintage Louis Vuitton bag?
A: Yes. Vachetta leather is designed to develop a darker honey-toned patina with age and use. Light watermarks, surface marks, and tonal variation are common on vintage Louis Vuitton pieces and are often considered part of their character, provided the wear is consistent with the condition description.

Q: What product information is included with this item?
A: No additional product information is included with this backpack. If you would like to confirm anything before purchase, please contact us and we will be happy to help.

A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully inspected by our team using multiple authenticity checkpoints, including materials, craftsmanship, hardware, stamps, and date-code details. We stand behind the authenticity of the items we sell and are happy to answer further product-specific questions.
