CelineHorsebit Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Céline Horsebit Bag?
A: With approximate dimensions of 25 × 16 × 6 cm and three internal compartments, it comfortably holds a large smartphone, compact wallet, keys, sunglasses in a soft case, and small cosmetics. Slim tech like a Kindle or small diary can also fit. It will not fit a laptop and is tight for full‑size tablets; please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: Can it be worn crossbody?
A: The single strap is listed as 39 cm (adjustable), which is best suited to shoulder carry. Depending on your height and preferred drop, crossbody wear is unlikely to be comfortable for most users.

Q: Is the strap removable or only adjustable?
A: The strap is adjustable to fine‑tune the drop but is not designed to be detached. If you need exact hole spacing or maximum/minimum drop, please contact us and we can measure it for you.

Q: How secure is the closure?
A: The front flap closes with a horsebit‑style clasp, keeping contents secure for everyday use. The multi‑compartment leather interior also helps organise items and prevents them from shifting when the bag is closed.

Q: What era is this design from and does it have a serial/date code?
A: Céline produced horsebit‑accented shoulder bags across multiple vintage eras. Many vintage Céline bags feature an internal numeric date code that indicates production period and location; placement and format vary by era and are not unique serial numbers. This item’s product details do not list a code, which can be normal for some vintage pieces. Our team authenticates the bag using a comprehensive, multi‑point inspection regardless of code presence.

Q: Is the horsebit hardware original to Céline?
A: Yes. Equestrian‑inspired hardware, including bit and carriage motifs, appears throughout vintage Céline collections. On this piece the horsebit detail functions as part of the flap closure and is consistent with archival designs from the brand.

Q: How should I care for the burgundy leather and gold‑plated hardware?
A: Wipe leather with a soft, slightly damp cloth, then dry immediately. Condition sparingly with a high‑quality, neutral leather conditioner a few times per year. Keep away from excessive moisture, oils, and prolonged direct sunlight to minimise colour fade. For gold‑plated hardware, use a clean microfibre cloth only; avoid metal polishes, which can remove plating. Store the bag loosely stuffed in a breathable dust bag to help maintain its shape.

Q: Are there any notable signs of wear I should know about?
A: Overall condition is Very Good with light traces of use. The interior shows light scratches on the leather, and the hardware remains shiny with light surface scratches. Please review the photos for close‑ups.

Q: Does this item come with any accessories?
A: No accessories are included with this piece. Everything provided is listed under the Accessories section; if an item such as a dust bag or authenticity card is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: Is the colour in the photos accurate?
A: The bag is a rich burgundy leather. We strive for true‑to‑life photography, but colour can vary slightly depending on screen settings and lighting. If you need a shade comparison or additional photos, we are happy to assist.
