CelineCircle Pearl Necklace

Q: Is this Céline Circle Pearl Necklace authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What is it made from? Is the pearl real and is the metal solid gold?
A: This vintage Céline necklace is fashion jewellery crafted in gold‑tone plated base metal (typically brass) with a faux pearl pendant. It is not solid gold, and the pearl is simulated/imitated rather than natural. Materials and finishes can vary by era; our photos show the exact piece you’ll receive.

Q: What are the measurements and how will it sit when worn?
A: The chain measures approximately 43 cm in perimeter and features a rolo link. The circular pendant is around 2 cm across (see measurements). At 43 cm, it usually sits at or just above the collarbone on most wearers—ideal for everyday or layering.

Q: How does it fasten and is the clasp secure?
A: It has a classic clasp closure (spring ring or lobster clasp depending on era). Fasten by guiding the ring to the end loop; a small extender can be added by a jeweller if you prefer extra length. As with all necklaces, remove before sport or swimming to avoid knocks and loss.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on vintage Céline jewellery?
A: Many vintage Céline pieces bear CELINE or CÉLINE PARIS signatures and may include a country of origin stamp (often Italy or France). Placement varies (on the pendant reverse, near the clasp or on a small tag). Our listing photos show any stamps present on this necklace.

Q: How should I care for the gold‑tone plating and faux pearl?
A: Keep it dry and away from perfume, lotions, hairspray and hand sanitiser. After wear, gently wipe metal and pearl with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Do not soak, use ultrasonic cleaners or chemical dips. Store individually in a pouch/box to minimise friction and preserve lustre.

Q: Is it suitable for sensitive skin? Does it contain nickel?
A: Fashion/vintage jewellery may contain nickel or use nickel in underlying layers of plating. If you have sensitivities, limit skin contact, wear for shorter periods, and consider barrier products or choosing nickel‑free alternatives. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Q: Can the necklace be repaired, replated or adjusted?
A: A competent jeweller can service clasps, supply an extender, re‑set a loose faux pearl, or perform gentle replating of worn gold‑tone finishes. Note that modifications may affect originality and resale value; we don’t modify items in‑house but can recommend specialists on request.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return it?
A: This necklace is in Very Good Condition with light, age‑appropriate wear possible. Accessories are not included unless stated (this listing notes no accessories). Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please ensure the item is returned in the same condition received and within the stated timeframe.
