HermèsMédor Picnic Dangling Earrings

Q: Are these Hermès Médor Picnic Dangling Earrings authentic?
A: Yes. Every item at A Retro Tale is rigorously vetted by our in‑house experts and sold with our authenticity commitment. Shop with confidence.

Q: What are they made from?
A: This style combines woven natural wicker with off‑white Swift‑style calfskin leather accents and gold‑tone Médor pyramid‑stud hardware. Hermès fashion jewellery of this type typically uses plated metal for the hardware rather than solid gold. Please review our close‑up photos and message us if you’d like us to confirm any specific component on this pair.

Q: How big are they and how will they look when worn?
A: The earrings are listed at approximately 8.5 cm (height) × 2 cm (width) × 2 cm (depth). They read as statement, summery drops with the signature Médor stud detail. If you’d like the exact gram weight or a photo on ear for scale, contact us and we’ll provide it.

Q: How do they fasten and are the backs secure?
A: They feature a post‑back closure. Always ensure the backs are firmly seated before wear. If you prefer extra support or have softer earlobes, consider wider disc or silicone stabiliser backs for added comfort and balance.

Q: Are they suitable for sensitive ears? Are they nickel‑free?
A: Fashion jewellery alloys and platings may contain nickel. If you have sensitivities, consider using protective barrier products on contact points or wearing with medical‑grade sleeves/backs. Discontinue use if any irritation occurs and contact us for guidance.

Q: Can I wear them in the rain, shower, or to the beach?
A: We recommend keeping them dry. Natural wicker and leather are sensitive to moisture, heat and prolonged sunlight. Avoid water, steam, sunscreen, perfume and hand sanitiser contact, and remove the earrings before swimming, showering, exercising or sleeping.

Q: How should I care for the wicker, leather and gold‑tone finish?
A: After wear, gently wipe metal and leather with a soft, dry microfibre cloth. Lightly dust the wicker with a clean, soft brush; do not soak or use chemical dips or ultrasonic cleaners. Store individually in a pouch/box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and pressure to help the wicker retain its shape.

Q: What hallmarks or stamps should I expect on Hermès earrings?
A: Hermès jewellery typically carries the Hermès maker’s signature and often “Made in France”; placement varies by model and era. On mixed‑material pieces, stamps may appear on the metal components or discretely on leather. Our listing photos show any markings present on this pair.

Q: Can they be repaired or serviced if needed?
A: A competent jeweller can usually replace posts/backs and perform careful tightening or replating of hardware if ever required. For leather touch‑ups on Hermès pieces, consult a specialist leather atelier. Contact us for recommendations; note that modifications may affect originality and resale value.

Q: What condition should I expect, what is included, and can I return them?
A: They are in Very Good Condition with a light trace of use. This listing includes no accessories unless specifically shown or stated. Returns are accepted under our standard policy—please check eligibility, timeframes and conditions, and ensure the item is returned in the same condition received.
