Louis VuittonMurakami Trousse Wapity Pouch

Q: What typically fits inside the Louis Vuitton Murakami Trousse Wapity Pouch?
A: This is a compact pouch designed for small daily essentials rather than bulky items. It is best suited to cards, folded notes, keys, lip balm, earbuds, and a few small cosmetics. Please refer to the measurements on this page for the best idea of capacity.

Q: Will a phone fit inside?
A: Usually not if you use a modern smartphone. At approximately 11 x 8 x 5 cm, this pouch is quite petite, so it is better suited to smaller essentials than larger phones.

Q: How is this pouch meant to be carried?
A: It is designed to be carried by hand or worn on the wrist using its single flat wrist strap. With a strap measurement of approximately 17 cm, it is not intended to be worn as a shoulder or crossbody bag.

Q: Does it have any interior organisation?
A: Yes. This piece has a zip closure, a red lining, and one internal pocket for keeping smaller items organised.

Q: What does the code FL1037 mean?
A: FL1037 is Louis Vuitton’s date code for this vintage piece. It indicates production in France during the 13th week of 2007. Like other Louis Vuitton date codes, it is a production code rather than a unique serial number.

Q: Is this part of the Takashi Murakami Multicolore collection?
A: Yes. This pouch belongs to the Louis Vuitton x Takashi Murakami Multicolore family, recognised for its colourful monogram print on white canvas. Original Murakami pieces are especially well known among vintage Louis Vuitton collectors.

Q: How should I care for the white multicolore canvas and leather trim?
A: Handle it gently and avoid overfilling, rain, oils, make-up, dark denim, and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or heat. If the leather gets wet, blot it gently with a soft light-coloured cloth. Store the pouch in a breathable dust bag or other ventilated space when not in use.

Q: Is yellowing or colour change common on vintage white multicolore pieces?
A: It can be. Because this is a vintage white multicolore style, age-related changes such as light yellowing, surface wear, patina to the leather, or minor colour transfer may appear more visibly than on darker canvas pieces. Careful storage and gentle use help minimise further change.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: Everything included with the item is listed in the product information section. For this specific piece, no additional items are included.

Q: How do you authenticate this item?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is reviewed for authenticity using detailed checks of materials, construction, hardware, stamps, and date codes. This helps ensure the piece is consistent with authentic Louis Vuitton production.
