HermèsEclipse Silk Hair Clip

Q: What are the measurements and how does the fit compare? A: The clip measures approximately 8 × 1.5 × 1 cm. An 8 cm French-style barrette is generally suited to fine-to-medium hair for everyday hold, and works best in half-up styles or for securing a section on thicker hair.

Q: Will it hold thick or very curly hair? A: For very thick or textured hair, use it for half-up looks or to secure a smaller section. For a full ponytail on thick hair, anchor with a discreet elastic first, then fasten the barrette over the gathered hair for decoration and extra security.

Q: Will the silk surface snag or damage my hair? A: Silk is smooth and low-friction, so it is generally gentler on strands than rougher fabrics. Always open and close the clasp slowly and avoid catching individual hairs in the mechanism.

Q: How secure is the closure? A: It uses a French spring barrette mechanism. For best hold, gather a modest section of hair, smooth it, and close the clip firmly. On very silky hair, a light texturising spray or a tiny bit of backcombing can help the clip stay put.

Q: Can I wear it in the rain or use hairspray/perfume while wearing it? A: Avoid moisture and product fall-out on the silk and hardware. If it becomes damp, blot gently with a soft cloth and allow it to air-dry away from direct heat or sunlight.

Q: How should I clean and care for the silk and hardware? A: Spot clean the silk carefully with a barely damp, soft cloth and a drop of mild, pH‑neutral soap if needed; do not soak. Wipe the silver-tone hardware with a dry microfibre cloth only. Store it in its box, away from humidity and prolonged sunlight.

Q: What is included in the product information? A: The original box is included. Everything provided is listed in the product information on this page; if an item is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What is the condition of this piece? A: Very good pre-owned condition with light traces of use. The hardware is shiny with light scratches, consistent with gentle wear.

Q: Where is it made and what are the materials? A: Made in France. It features cream-coloured silk with a pink and orange pattern, silver-tone hardware, and a barrette-style clip closure.
