OmegaConstellation 22mm Circa 1999 Watch

Q: What size is this Omega Constellation watch?
A: This watch has a 22 mm case, giving it a compact and elegant look on the wrist. It is a classic ladies’ size and works especially well if you prefer a refined, jewellery-like watch rather than an oversized style.

Q: Will this watch fit my wrist?
A: According to the product information, the bracelet fits a 16 cm wrist or smaller. If your wrist is close to or above that size, please compare carefully before purchasing.

Q: Is this watch quartz or automatic?
A: This Omega Constellation uses a quartz movement, which means it is battery-powered rather than self-winding. Quartz watches are popular for their ease of use, slim profile, and reliable day-to-day accuracy.

Q: How long does the battery usually last?
A: Official Omega specifications for reference 1561.71.00 list an approximate battery life of 32 months. Actual battery life can vary depending on age, servicing history, and use.

Q: What material is the crystal made from?
A: This model features a sapphire crystal. Sapphire is highly scratch-resistant and is commonly chosen for luxury watches because it helps keep the dial clear and well protected over time.

Q: Is the dial mother-of-pearl?
A: Yes. This watch features a mother-of-pearl dial, which is prized for its soft iridescence and elegant, light-catching finish. As with all natural mother-of-pearl, the tone and shimmer can appear slightly different depending on the light.

Q: Is this watch water resistant?
A: Omega’s official specification for this reference is 3 bar, or 30 metres. However, with any vintage or pre-owned watch, water resistance should not be assumed unless it has been recently pressure-tested, so we recommend avoiding immersion in water as a precaution.

Q: What condition is this watch in?
A: This watch is listed in good condition. The product information notes light scratches on the case and bracelet, while the internal condition is described as good and the hardware as shiny with light scratches.

Q: Does this watch come with box, papers, or other extras?
A: No. According to the product information, this watch comes with no accessories. If something is not listed in the product information, it should be considered not included.

Q: What design details are typical of the Omega Constellation line?
A: The Constellation is known for its elegant, recognisable design language, including its refined case shape, integrated bracelet style, and signature side claws. On this piece, those details are paired with a compact case and mother-of-pearl dial for a distinctly classic late-1990s look.
