PradaSmall Saffiano Panier Bag

Q: What typically fits inside the Prada Small Saffiano Panier bag?
A: With its structured silhouette and approximate measurements of 22 × 22 × 12 cm, it comfortably carries daily essentials such as a large smartphone, compact wallet, keys, sunglasses case, hand sanitiser, and a small cosmetics pouch. Slim e‑readers or small tablets may fit depending on case thickness. Capacity varies with packing style—please refer to the Measurements on this page for exact dimensions.

Q: Can I wear it crossbody?
A: Yes. This piece includes a detachable, adjustable leather shoulder strap with an approximate drop of 57 cm, allowing shoulder or crossbody wear for most heights. It also has a single top handle (about 11 cm drop) for handheld styling.

Q: How is the interior organised?
A: The bag has a red Nappa leather lining with two main compartments and a central flap pocket, making it easy to separate essentials like your phone and cardholder while keeping the bag neat and tidy.

Q: Does it keep its shape and stand upright?
A: Yes. The Saffiano leather is structured and the base features protective metal feet, helping the bag stand on its own and reducing wear on the corners when set down.

Q: Is Saffiano leather durable and water‑resistant?
A: Saffiano leather is known for its cross‑hatched texture and excellent resistance to scratches and light moisture. It is not fully waterproof, so if caught in rain, gently blot dry with a soft cloth and allow it to air dry away from heat.

Q: How should I care for Saffiano leather?
A: Wipe routinely with a soft, slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid harsh cleaners, alcohol, oils, or coloured balms. Store the bag lightly stuffed in its dust bag, away from direct sunlight and humidity. Minimise contact with denim and dark fabrics to reduce the risk of colour transfer. For stubborn marks or deep conditioning, seek professional leather care.

Q: What is included with this item?
A: According to the product information, this piece comes with a detachable shoulder strap and a luggage tag. Everything included is listed under the product information section; if an item such as a dust bag or authenticity card is not listed there, it is not included.

Q: What colour is the hardware?
A: This Panier is finished with gold‑tone hardware that complements the black Saffiano leather and adds a refined, classic look.

Q: Where was this bag made?
A: The country of origin label states Italy.

Q: How do you authenticate this bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is carefully vetted by our in‑house experts using multi‑point checks of materials, stitching, stamps, hardware, and craftsmanship. We stand behind the authenticity of all items we sell and are happy to provide more details on request.
