PradaTessuto Backpack

Q: What is Prada Tessuto?
A: Prada Tessuto is Prada’s signature nylon fabric, known for its lightweight feel, durability and minimalist look. It became one of the house’s most recognisable materials and is especially popular in vintage backpacks.

Q: What fits inside this backpack?
A: At approximately 29 x 25 x 13 cm, it is a compact everyday size. It should fit essentials such as a phone, wallet or card holder, keys, sunglasses, a small cosmetics pouch and other daily items. It is not the best choice for most laptops or bulky work gear.

Q: How does this backpack close?
A: This style features a drawstring top with a buckle closure, which helps keep contents secure whilst giving the bag its classic Prada backpack look. It also has one exterior zip pocket for quick-access items.

Q: Is a Tessuto backpack lightweight to carry?
A: Yes. One of the main reasons Prada nylon backpacks are so popular is their light feel compared with heavier leather styles. The dual adjustable shoulder straps also make it practical for day-to-day wear.

Q: What condition is this piece in?
A: This backpack is in good vintage condition. The exterior shows light traces of use with some small marks, the interior shows light wear, and the silver-tone hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: How should I care for vintage Prada nylon?
A: For regular care, wipe the nylon gently with a soft damp cloth and let the bag air out after use. Avoid harsh chemicals, over-washing, prolonged direct sunlight and excessive heat. When not in use, store it in a dry place and avoid overfilling it so it keeps its shape.

Q: Is this item authentic?
A: Yes. At A Retro Tale, each item is expert-checked for authenticity before sale. For Prada nylon pieces, this typically includes reviewing the materials, logo plaque, lining, stitching, hardware and zipper details.

Q: Does this item come with any original product information?
A: No. This piece is listed with no original product information included.

Q: Where was this backpack made?
A: The country-of-origin label states Italy.
