Q: What typically fits inside the Prada Tessuto Backpack?

It can also suit a small tablet or slim notebook, but it is not ideal for most larger laptops. Please refer to the measurements on this page for exact sizing.

Q: How is this backpack carried?
A: It has a single flat top handle with an approximate drop of 8 cm and dual adjustable shoulder straps with an approximate drop of 36 cm, so it can be carried by hand or worn comfortably on the back.

Q: How is the bag organised?
A: This piece features one external front zip pocket for quick-access items, plus a main compartment with black logo jacquard lining. The top closes with a drawstring and buckle, giving the classic Prada backpack look while helping keep contents secure.

Q: What materials and finish does this bag have?
A: This backpack is crafted in black nylon with black leather trim and silver-tone hardware. It is labelled as made in Italy and has the lightweight, practical feel that Prada nylon styles are known for.

Q: What does Tessuto mean in Prada terms?
A: Prada commonly uses Tessuto to describe its signature nylon fabric. In newer collections, Prada also uses the term Re-Nylon for regenerated nylon introduced in 2019. Vintage Prada nylon backpacks are often described as Tessuto, which is why this style is presented that way here.

Q: Is Prada nylon practical for everyday use?
A: Yes. Prada nylon backpacks are popular because they are lightweight, easy to carry and generally durable for day-to-day use. As this is a vintage item, gentle handling is still recommended, and this particular piece already shows light traces of use with some marks on the front pocket.

Q: How should I care for a vintage Prada nylon backpack?
A: Avoid machine washing and harsh cleaning products. Gentle care is best: wipe lightly with a soft dry cloth, air it out after use and store it in a well-ventilated place away from heat and damp. For more noticeable marks, we recommend a specialist experienced with luxury nylon bags.

Q: What is the condition of this item?
A: The overall condition is good. The exterior shows light traces of use with some marks on the front pocket, the interior is in good condition with light wear, and the hardware remains shiny with light scratches.

Q: What is included with the backpack?
A: No additional items are included with this piece. Everything included with the purchase is listed in the product information on this page.

Q: How do you authenticate this Prada bag?
A: Every item at A Retro Tale is vetted by in-house experts using checks of materials, stitching, hardware, branding and overall construction. With vintage Prada, authentication is based on the item as a whole rather than one single detail alone.
