Dimensions & Specifications

Size

Q: What size is the Chanel 90 Silk Scarf?
A: The 90 size generally refers to an approximately 90 x 90 cm square, making it a versatile format for wearing around the neck, over the shoulders, in the hair or tied to a handbag.

Q: How can I style a 90 silk scarf?
A: A square silk scarf in this size can be worn as a neck scarf, headscarf, shoulder accent or bag tie. A simple fold-and-knot style is often the easiest way to show the print while keeping the silk comfortable and elegant.

* Please note that when you buy a vintage product, the dimensions may vary slightly from a new one depending on previous care and storage.

Q: What size is the Chanel 90 Silk Scarf?
A: The 90 size generally refers to an approximately 90 x 90 cm square, making it a versatile format for wearing around the neck, over the shoulders, in the hair or tied to a handbag.

Q: What is this scarf made from?
A: This piece is made from silk and features a navy jewel and chain print, a central interlocking CC logo and hand-rolled edges. Silk gives it a fluid drape and a refined finish.

Q: Are hand-rolled edges important on a Chanel silk scarf?
A: Yes. Hand-rolled edges are a classic finishing detail on luxury silk scarves and are often looked for when assessing craftsmanship. This scarf is described as having hand-rolled edges.

Q: What condition is this vintage scarf in?
A: It is listed in Very Good condition with light traces of use, along with some minor marks and stains. As a vintage item, gentle signs of wear are normal and form part of its character.

Q: How can I style a 90 silk scarf?
A: A square silk scarf in this size can be worn as a neck scarf, headscarf, shoulder accent or bag tie. A simple fold-and-knot style is often the easiest way to show the print while keeping the silk comfortable and elegant.

Q: How should I care for and clean a vintage silk scarf?
A: Silk is delicate, so avoid spraying perfume or hairspray directly onto it and keep it away from prolonged sunlight and humidity. If it needs cleaning, a professional cleaner experienced with silk is the safest choice, especially for a vintage piece with existing marks.

Q: Where was this scarf made?
A: The country of origin label states Italy.

Q: Does this item come with a box, authenticity card or other included extras?
A: No included extras are listed for this piece. If anything additional were present, it would be stated in the product information on this page.

Q: How do I know this Chanel scarf is authentic?
A: Chanel silk scarves are commonly assessed through details such as fabric quality, print definition, finishing and edge construction. Every item sold by A Retro Tale is reviewed for authenticity by in-house experts before it is listed.
